The Albany County League of Women Voters is inviting the public to brunch with Jack McEneny, Albany County Historian and former Assembly member, to learn about the role Albany has played since the founding of our county.
The nineteenth century brought major changes which transformed Albany into a busy transportation and commercial hub. Immigration, manufacturing, and expanding trade shaped the city's neighborhoods and diverse population. During the twentieth century, Albany became increasingly defined by state government, education, and public institutions. From its Dutch colonial beginnings to its role in modern New York, Albany reflects the changing story of American history.
Brunch included.
Cost: $45 for Albany League members; $50 for non-members
