Profiles in Courage: "You Gotta Give 'Em Hope!" The Pride Movement

  • Crandall Library 251 Glen Street Glens Falls, NY United States (map)

This program is part of the League of Women Voters' Profile in Courage series, showcasing what we can learn from the resilience and determination of past movements. From the closet to marching proudly in the streets, the LGBTQ+ rights movement has come a long way. What gave people the courage to push forward when the risks - social, legal and personal - were so high? The modern Pride movement stands as both a celebration and a call to action. What moments defined this movement, and who were the changemakers that helped shape the evolution of Pride into what it is today? Cam Cardinale, President of Lower Adirondack PRIDE, is our presenter.

Registration is required.
