Community Forum: Voicing Opposition - Responsibilities and Risks

  • Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Saratoga Springs 624 North Broadway Saratoga Springs, NY, 12866 United States (map)

“In the end, we will remember not the words of our enemies,
but the silence of our friends.” ~ Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Silence is complicity. We want to voice our opposition in clear, respectful and peaceful ways. What does that mean and how do we do it? What is our moral responsibility to stand up and speak out? What do we risk? When do we call people in and when do we call them out?

Join us, and some special guests, to explore these questions together. Mediation Matters will facilitate large and small group discussion. Please plan to stay for the duration of the program. Refreshments will be served. Co-hosted with MLK Saratoga.

RSVP by October 12 to maholohean@gmail.com or call 786-296-8030.
