*League Embraces Democracy
Modeled after TED Talks, selected applicants will each have 10 minutes to talk about any aspect of Making Democracy Work. Examples include, but are not limited to, the importance of voting, the power of resistance, the importance of the arts in a democratic society, the impact of social media, youth enfranchisement, politics of inclusion, etc.
The presentation should not promote one political party over another but rather address issues and solutions in a knowledgeable, interesting, and engaging way.
No notes, no multi-media.
A fun night where people get to experiment with story-telling as they educate the audience about what's at stake.
Submit the completed form below no later than February 28 (or you may email a completed Word version of this form to email@example.com by February 28). Those selected will be notified by March 3 and provided with a Participation Agreement. All L.E.D-talkers may be taped for re-broadcasting. There will be no multi-media, notes, Q&A, or judges.
